Big Boss 10 to start soon! Auditions Started!

Colors has already started airing their promos for the upcoming reality show --Bigg Boss Season 10. The channel has also locked in Appy Fizz as the presenting sponsor for the popular show. Last year Snapdeal was the presenting sponsor; it came on board in 2014 after Vodafone’s five-year deal with the channel ended.

The format for this year’s Bigg Boss has few new additions. For the first time the show has been thrown open to public participation. The two commercials which are on air currently invite participants to submit three minute videos, showcasing some of their special traits, which will make them eligible to enter ‘Bigg Boss 10’ as contestants. The date of sending the entries started in January and will go on till May 31.

The show is an Indian adaptation of format owner Endemol’s Big Brother. It is one of the most popular properties on Colors and has attracted a slew of sponsors every year. Last year Snapdeal was the ‘presenting sponsor’, while the ‘powered by sponsor’ was OPPO Mobiles. The latter spent around Rs 25 crore for the promotion of their brand. According to reports, Snapdeal spent Rs 35 crore for its sponsorship last year. Some of the other major brands associated with the property were Maruti Swift, Garnier Men Powerlight and CP Plus CCTV Cameras

According to sources, the channel might maintain a low profile for the show post May and will again resume their communication prior to the launch of the show, which will be in either September or October.
